So, what really is an examination? The most simple meaning of examination known to students, all around the world is That Examination is a means to determine the attitude or qualification of someone by subjecting them to a test. It’s necessary to justify that a student has passed through a learning process and knows what he/she has been taught.

While Knowledge according Merriam-Webster dictionary is defined as acquaintance with or understanding of a science, art, or technique. But the means of the test of knowledge has been a subject of debate over the years.

Philosophers like Montessori have argued against examination as being the true test of knowledge, while many others have said otherwise.

Examination is truly needed, without going through one, we won’t move further. But it is not a test of intelligence, not at all. 

Intelligence is defined as the capacity of a mind to understand principles, acquire knowledge and apply it to practice; ability to learn and comprehend.

According to Albert Einstein, a single sheet of paper can't decide one's future.

But it is what's been happening from many decades, is it not??

The one who is capable of cramming exam papers in his mind is considered to be the future and rightful heir/successor of the education world, while the practical one who is understanding things but is not able to convey it in examination halls is considered to be a failure.

Well, I think that acquiring the knowledge is one thing, being able to apply it in life situations is what tests intelligence. This was suffered by Albert Einstein, also. He considered the examinations as a nightmare.

Well, we can also take the example of Thomas Alva Edison, who was suspended from his school in his early educational life.

It's not the facts that matter, but ideas. There is no point in learning the dates of battles, or even which of the armies killed more men. It will be more interesting in learning why the soldiers were trying to kill each other.

When Albert Einstein died in 1955, he left behind a trove of 80,000 documents, including letters, papers, and articles. "The Nightmare", was from Volume 6 of the collection, comprising Einstein's writings between 1914 and 1917, when he was between the ages of 35 and 38. What was amusing is that, what a "nightmare" might be for Einstein in his late 30s.

As it turns out, his nightmare was the traditional final exam used in German high schools. This exam lasted five or six days. It consisted of written and oral tests. It covered all major subjects. It was the sole test by which students were evaluated. 

Now you can see why Einstein calls it a nightmare.

As our prime minister believes, certificates are of no real use, but if we see practically, that's just what our evaluation system is providing. 

As a popular axiom goes, the nature of a salt will only be known in water. So also, knowledgeable students are known in examinations.
But it doesn't mean, Anyone that is incapable of showing forth his true worth under exam conditions cannot be said to not have acquired anything after all. 
The thing is, the certificate does not curb the lack of illiteracy in India at all. Maybe, it do cures illiteracy in papers but practically, it is not beneficial for our country.
Our evaluation system should be such that we can get to know the potential hidden within a child. The thing, which we should understand is How can a fish beat a monkey in climbing tree?? & If the monkey is capable of competing with a fish in swimming??
But, that's what we tell our children to do.
We should always first consider what our children wants to become in his future and should help them in recognising their favourable fields. We should provide goal-setting education, which can help them in deciding their future goals and burning desires.

Students become less likely to learn for learning's sake. Rather than pursuing their work in an intellectually curious, in-depth manner, they memorize and study for the sake of superficial knowledge. Which is great for acing the exam, but not so great for retaining the knowledge after the test. 

Our evaluation system should be focusing on outcome-based-learning rather than learning facts.

The adage " If they haven't learned it, you haven't taught it." The goal of training sophomores in anything should not be that they can ace an exam, it should be that they've thoroughly digested the lesson and can apply it in their roles.

The other thing is, the student is never trained financially. Our system never teaches nor have ever taught children about how to survive in difficult phases of his life. Life is a challenge, a stage and a mysterious game. The students should be given job-oriented education. 

Today, the situations are that a student doesn't even know about the banking system till his 10th boards. How to solve mysteries of future and to deal with the facts of past?? Is the most important question whose answer should be known by all aspiring students.

We will have to improve our evaluation system so that all students can rise as intelligent children rather than certificates and can make his place & worth known to all.

We will have to change our curriculum in more practical way.

NCERT is good enough to produce good students but rather than opting to ncert we are attracted towards private schools and curriculum, instead. This has to be changed, most importantly. All the students of our country should enroll in public schools. 

Nursery class should not take admission forms for child below 5 years. This 5 years would determine the mental growth of the child before joining the schools and competition race and should be left to develop a creative mind & gain practical facts rather than cramming exam papers in his mind. 

The learning system and the fear of exam could be stilled in a child later on. Why to waste his precious childhood for showing off.

The papers should be made to check their knowledge and intelligence, his grasping capacity rather than asking 'Ratte huye facts'. Don't be a parrot, only to imitate, but never understanding the true meaning. Hunters will come, will spread the trap, but u have to not be be trapped.

The purpose of giving exams in a child's mind should be to try as best as he can, not becoming topper of the exam and show down to other children and giving birth to the evil feelings of jealousy in innocent and future minds of our country.
The students should know moral values.

The curriculum and datesheet should be made not only keeping IQ in mind but also keeping track of the EQ of the students.
There should not be very strict checking nor a very lenient one.
From the previous decades, our evaluation system was deteriorating, but in the following decades, it has improved a lot.

The government has also done many improvements in the education system of INDIA. Government has also launched many schemes like Sarva Siksha  Abhiyaan including student loans and 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', so that all would be given the chance to study and prove themselves.

As Albert Einstein said "Education is Not The Learning of Facts but Training the Mind to Think."
It must be hard to believe how can all students be intelligent and topper of the course. But trust me, it can be possible. All can contribute for making this country rise and proud and will be. We have to make our evaluation and education system such that, that all student can become intelligent and literate and no one from over the world can even think of competing from INDIA.
